Official Nautical Charts of German Waters North Sea and Baltic Sea

Despite the advances in marine electronics and digital chart technology that made accurate navigation affordable and convenient, paper charts remain an indispensable part of any vessel's inventory. They serve as a primary means of navigation, or as an accurate back-up to electronic charts and as a reliable source of interesting information on the waters where you enjoy boating. Charts of German waters are created by the 'Bundesamt für Seeschiffahrt und Hydrographie' (BSH), who produce with its five surveying ships accurate and updated information.
