Product details

Compact horizontal windlass from Lofrans, developed especially for smaller yachts up to approx. 10 m long and 4 t in total weight. Features a durable chrome-bronze rope/chain gypsy, clear anodized aluminum body and watertight solenoid box. Developed as an ultra-compact yet robust and powerful horizontal windlass, the Dorado windlasses has been dramatically reduced by positioning the motor thru-deck, making drop-in installation easy without sacrificing space.

With a boat weight of 4.5 tons and a 20 kg Delta anchor with a 6-chain, it was completely sufficient. I was surprised by the speed at which it pulled up. Easy to install. I can only recommend the winch, especially as the chain sprocket is also designed for an 8-chain without having to modify anything.
