Judith Stamann is live, reporting on SVB Team Germany's training in Bermuda: "SVB Team Germany team members: Paul, Max, Johann, Moritz, Phillip, Frederick and Magnus are extremely fit, eager and motivated to take home the win this year! These 7 athletes arrived in Bermuda a few days ago and have already begun their training sessions. They were selected to be part of the first training cohort, together with 6 of the other 12 junior teams, which was held from May 28th to June 4th. During this phase, SVB Team Germany trained with the French, Danish, Japanese, Swedish and Spanish teams. I have the unique opportunity to report to you live from Bermuda and to accompany the team during the entire course of their training and preparations on both water and land! I'm really looking forward to the exciting days ahead and hope that you cheer on SVB Team Germany together with us!

By the way: The qualifying rounds and finals of the up-and-coming Youth Cup and official America's Cup will be broadcast live in Germany on Servus TV and online as well!

Safety briefing and then it's out on the water!

Before training can commence, all of the 12 teams' skippers receive a safety briefing aboard their new AC45f catamarans.

The 45-foot, 1.3-ton racing boats have already been equipped by Red Bull and America's Cup, and are waiting for their teams in the dockyard. The catamarans for the official America's Cup are lined up and situated just a few meters away. It's already their 2nd day out on the water.

During the 6-hour safety briefing, the technology used on board the AC45f catamarans is also gone over in great detail. Concentrated and fascinated, the young athletes listen to their mentors, seeing as it's the first time sailing on AC45 foils for many of them.

Finally! The first day out on the water!

They don't just want to participate, they want to win! A victory would show all of the critics and naysayers that German sailing is back on the international stage to stay!

Hard training:
Every spare minute is spent intensively and meticulously preparing!

Facing off against opposing teams, such as: Japan, France and Sweden will be no easy walk in the park. The team is well aware of this and will therefore use every spare minute intensively and meticulously preparing!

Test races with gennakers

After 3 days of training, the first test races take place with gennakers. SVB Team Germany proves its great potential and goes on to complete 4 out of 5 races in the top three.

Dark clouds and rain!
This is a blessing for the German team, who performs at their best in these conditions!

Artemis Racing, Land Rover BAR and many other companies are involved! Time and time again, the professional America's Cup teams cross paths with the junior athletes. A huge incentive for the up-and-coming teams indeed!

After days of hard training, the team can get a bit of rest for a few days. Time to consolidate and refine everything that they have learned, so that they can perform optimally during the qualifying rounds on the 15th and 16th of June!
