Why a bow thruster / stern thruster? During maneuvering, when the ship is almost at a stillstand, control over the vessel is rather poor, especially in windy conditions. Bow thrusters / stern thrusters are electrically driven radial propellers, which allow the ship to move laterally. A simple push of a button moves the bow in either a port or starboard direction.

Installation and assembly of the thruster
The aft side of a ship can be laterally offset, mainly by incorporating a stern thruster, which is available upon request. We are happy to assist you in selecting the appropriate bow thruster for your boat. Relevant calculations are available.
What influences thrust power?
The nominal specified thrust can only be achieved under optimum conditions.
The following factors may affect thrust:
• Low voltage for the motor
• The pipe tunnel is not properly connected to the ship's hull
• The openings of the pipe tunnel are fixed with rods or grids
Install the bow thrusters in such a manner that they are always easily accessible.
