Use of the community is only permitted for persons aged 16 and over. Persons under the age of 16 are not permitted to use our community services. By registering, you confirm that you are of legal age.
Registration is required to use SVB’s community services. By registering, you declare that all information you have provided is complete, accurate and up to date. You are obliged to treat your access data, in particular your email address and password, as strictly confidential and to protect it from access by third parties. You are solely responsible for any activity performed using your user account, whether it is carried out by you personally or by third parties, with or without your knowledge. In the event of suspected abuse, unauthorised use or other security breaches, SVB reserves the right to temporarily or permanently block your user account in order to protect the community and other members. You agree to notify SVB immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any other security-related incidents.
The use of community services is at your own risk. Do not share any information that you do not want to make public, particularly personal data such as addresses or phone numbers. Any information you post on public boards may be accessed and used by others. You are solely responsible for any personal information you share with the community. SVB (‘Platform Provider’) shall not be liable for the use of information published in the open community by third parties.
Users of the community features agree not to upload, post, or otherwise transmit any content that:
Moderation: SVB reserves the right to review, edit, delete content or block user accounts at its own discretion.
Violations of these Terms of Use or applicable laws may result in serious consequences. SVB expressly reserves the right to respond appropriately to any type of misconduct in order to ensure the security, integrity and functionality of the community. This includes, in particular, the right to delete, edit or otherwise render inaccessible any content that violates these terms and conditions without prior notice. Furthermore, in the event of serious or repeated violations, SVB may impose temporary or permanent suspensions of user accounts in order to prevent further use of the community by the members concerned. SVB also reserves the right to immediately report any illegal activities committed via the community to the relevant authorities in order to enable criminal or civil proceedings to be initiated. Users acknowledge that SVB may, at its sole discretion, take such measures as necessary to ensure compliance with the terms of use, protect third parties, and uphold applicable laws.
All contributions, suggestions, communications, ideas and concepts (‘Material’) that you submit to SVB via the Community remain your property. However, you grant SVB a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, publish or utilise this material for community, product development, advertising and marketing purposes.
SVB accepts no responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality of the material transmitted. You agree not to take any legal action against SVB arising from the use of the transmitted material in accordance with these terms and conditions.
SVB processes your personal data in accordance with their Privacy Policy. There you will find out what data is collected, processed and, if applicable, passed on.

The content provided or published within the SVB community is generally sourced from third parties and created under their own responsibility. SVB has no control over, and does not guarantee, the quality, accuracy, completeness, or legality of this content, and accepts no liability for it. In particular, SVB does not warrant the accuracy, timeliness, or legality of any posts, comments, ratings, messages, or uploaded media.
By using the community, you expressly acknowledge that you access and use the content at your own risk, and that you are solely responsible for your conduct within the community. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you post, transmit, or share does not violate applicable laws, the rights of third parties, or these Terms of Use.
You also agree to indemnify SVB against any claims, demands, damages, costs, or other legal consequences from third parties arising from your content, your use of the community, or any violation of these Terms. This includes, but is not limited to, claims of copyright infringement, violation of personal rights, illegal content, or other legal infringements.
SVB shall under no circumstances be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, including lost profits, data loss or other intangible damages that may arise in connection with the use of the community services.
Furthermore, external links to websites that violate these Terms of Use or applicable law are strictly prohibited. Responsibility for content on linked external websites lies solely with the operators of those sites. SVB accepts no liability for the content published on such external websites.

SVB may suspend, modify or terminate memberships at its sole discretion. After termination, conditions that are reasonable for the continued effect of the rules (e.g. limitations of liability) remain in force.
SVB reserves the right to modify, update, or supplement these Terms of Use, as well as any related guidelines, rules, or other provisions governing the use of the Community Services, at any time. Significant changes that materially affect users’ rights or obligations will be communicated to community members in an appropriate manner, for example via email, a notice within the community, or publication on the relevant website.
Minor changes, editorial adjustments, or clarifications that do not substantially affect your rights or obligations will be published on the same website where these Terms are accessible, without separate notification.
All changes take effect upon publication, unless a different effective date is expressly stated. By continuing to use the community after changes have taken effect, you agree to the updated Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with the amended Terms and Conditions, you must immediately stop using the community. This means that you must deactivate or delete your user account and may no longer post content in the community or access the services. By continuing to use the community after the updated Terms have been published, you are deemed to have accepted them.
All legal relationships between you, as a user of the SVB Community, and SVB Spezialversand für Yacht- und Bootszubehör GmbH are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with the use of the community services is Bremen, to the extent legally permissible. However, SVB reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings before other competent courts.
Should any individual provision of these Terms and Conditions be deemed invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
