The incredibly easy installation is a major plus, as no drilling or installation is required. All that's needed is a connection to the NMEA2000 backbone. NMEA2000 networks
- Simple connection between several devices on board -
In an NMEA2000 network, data is transmitted via a so-called Controller Area Network (CAN bus). The CAN bus system simplifies installation and transmits data to all devices in the network. Compared to the older NMEA0183 system, the NMEA2000 network is more reliable and much easier to install and extend.
