Höchste Punktzahl, denn das verdient das Gerät aber auch der Service von SVB. Nachdem mich der Standard Horizon CP180i nicht überzeugte, wurde mir vom Kundenservice der SEATEC NAV-6 empfohlen. Ich habe mich gleich für ein weiteres SEATEC-Gerät entschlossen, den AIS-Empfänger AIS6. Alles passt perfekt zusammen und mit dem zusätzlichen NMEA-Kabel und dem guten Schaltplan von SVB war das Anschließen ein Kinderspiel.

It was easy to install. It communicates brilliantly with other equipment on board especially my Icom M423 VHF & my Garmin 620 map display. It has a very friendly intuitive interface that is a joy to use. It has exceeded my expectations. I recommend it as the AIS device that others will be measured against and fantastic value for money. It will make sailing safer easier and more enjoyable. Rarely do you find a device that has been so thoughtfully designed to meet the needs, wants and desires of a cruising sailor. I am a yacht master instructor sailing for 40 years. My Oyster Mariner is currently based in the Western Mediterranean.

The new SEATEC AIS series offers you a great amount of reliability as well as excellent ease of use. Within its SEATEC AIS series, SVB relies on an clear key assignments, structured and precise display of information and other important functions. These features turn the AIS-6 devices into your ideal companion – especially on rough seas.

The SEATEC AIS-6 receiver permits the usage of your already existing VHF-Antenna through an integrated Antenna-Splitter. In addition, the NMEA-0183 multiplexer allows you to integrate your SEATEC AIS device into nearly every NMEA board system. Hence, the received AIS data can also be pictured on various AIS compatible devices such as radar, chart plotters and PC‘s.

A marvelous display of detailed data such as an integrated list of ships, graphical display of GPS received compass data, wind direction, highway display and a multidata illustration is guaranteed.

A life-saving function of the new AIS-6 is an eye-catching display of received AIS SART rescue signals. Thus, you can directly distinguish between a "normal" AIS signal and a AIS "search and rescue" message and hurry to help.
