I already use this fan as an engine compartment fan and as a vent fan in the galley. And I am 100% satisfied. Now I would like to use it as a fan for boat ventilation in the winter months, powered by a solar panel. It runs smoothly even at a voltage of 3 to 4 volts. So that he will be suitable for it too.

The new and improved TURBO 4000 series II engine compartment fan sets new standards for in-line blower performance. Improved technology ensures 64% quieter operation in contrast to conventional models. Its optimised housing guarantees a long service life. The fan has a special sealed motor to better protect the motor and wires. Available as a 12 volt or 24 volt version.

The 12V fan should be protected by a 5 amp fuse, the 24V fan with a 3 amp fuse.

Good value for money, but without installation instructions and no delivery in the original box, but loose.

The fan itself gets 5 stars from me. It is significantly quieter than the old attwood, which was at least 20 years old. And if it was supposed to last half as long, it was still a good buy.

It would be nice if it were mentioned that the product was not shipped in the original packaging but came from a bulk pack. I don't have an issue with that, but at first I thought it was B-stock.
Furthermore, it would be useful if installation instructions were included and it was pointed out that the hose clamps must be ordered separately (both are included in the individual box). There are also no instructions for download (at least not at the time of ordering)

Perfect for what it is designed for.

We have a sailboat of 15 meters of regatta, with the engine almost 6 meters from the Popa. It is able to extract the gases from the engine compartment and evacuate them with almost 7 meters of pipe, without problem. Only small paste, we had to mount two silentblocks, to avoid vibration in the bulkhead in which it has been mounted, how powerful it is.
