Tested the wire cutter on 10 mm wire. This is a professional product that cut 10 mm wire as butter on a hot summer day. Even my friends son (8 years old) managed cutting 10 mm wire whithout a problem...

Excellent cutter for rigging wire I think this tool should be on all boats going offshore. I have personally tried this cutter on wires up to 10 mm. It is like putting the knife in the butter on a hot summer day.

The BAUDAT SCSZ20 rigging cutter has been developed for professional onboard use, allowing the safe and low-effort cutting of wire ropes and shrouds, even under extreme conditions. The ratchet-assisted two-handed wire rope cutter combines outstanding cutting performance with maximum leverage, making it an ideal safety tool for sailing yachts and offshore use.

The long handles provide exceptional leverage and make it easier to cut flexible wire ropes up to 20 mm in diameter and stainless steel wire up to a maximum of 16 mm. The forged, double-hardened and PTFE-coated blades, manufactured from high-quality steel, deliver long service life and clean cuts even under heavy loads. The blades can be released from any cutting position, allowing the rigging cutter to remain fully controllable at all times.

Thanks to its robust construction and fully replaceable components, the BAUDAT SCSZ20 is a durable professional tool, made in Germany and specifically developed for marine safety applications.
