It is not clear if this is an extending spring or a retracting spring. Will the natural position of the spring be short or long? In other words, will it help with pulling or with pushing the platform?
Dear Keith, the natural position of the spring is long. So the Pressure is relieve. Your SVB-team.
I can see on your website that htere is a gas pressure spring for a Bavaria32 bathing platform. I have a Bavaria40 - is this the same spring?
Dear Paul, we are not sure, but we will check this for you. Please send us your Hull Identification Number to our: [email protected] // Then you will get a short offer. Your SVB-team.
Each spring has "power rating" - 1900N in this case, which is proper size for Cruiser 32. Check yours - it should be marked somehow on the original one. As the platform weight is different for each model - the spring can be different too.
Item Ref: 22815 Gas Pressure Spring. Is this the correct spring for a Bavaria 36 2011 model? If it is not can you give me details of the correct spring and the price. Is there a replacement teak mit for ths Bavari 36 Swimming platform. Thank you. Martin Brooks

Hello I gave Cruiser40 made 2011. My swimming platform no longer functions properly. Is item no 22815 correct? Do ı need anything else?

Thank you. Do you know/have the proper size for C40? How can I check since nothing is disassembled yet? Is it possible?
I don't know, but it should be marked on the spring. You can also try to ask Bavaria. Otherwise you need a whole hinge, which is more expensive. Anyway - please note that replacing just a spring is a really tricky job, sometimes it may be impossible if the original hinge is bent. It took me half day in C32 to get it done, including cutting the old spring into parts, as it was impossible to dismantle otherwise. With whole hinge it would be way easier & faster.
Sounds like it could be even more difficult or may be impossible to do it on the water. Anyhow thanks for your reply I will check with Bav and get back to you. If needed.
I had done it on the water. You just need to be stern-to, and - to be comfortable - two extra people (and some kind of lifting system - you can use halyard for this) to hold and secure, and flip swimming platform once you unscrew it.
Do you have a strut rated at 2300 N
