As per original - sharp edges destroy guardrail
These are identical to those fitted as standard to a Bavaria 38 2003.

Unfortunately they also have the same problem- sharp edges where the guardrail wire passes through. I'd had this problem before - damaging the wire - and solved it by sanding the edges down (several years ago). I forgot to do this to the new stanchion and it chafed through the 6mm steel wire in 6 months (which was new - fitted at the same time as the stanchion).

processing defect
With the railing support, everything fitted except for the central opening. It should be 10mm, but the 10mm wire did not fit. With time we had to drill with only 9.5 then 10 mm. Does the whole series have this problem?

Is this stanchion for the 35 match (the two aft are with extra support - but the two closer to the bow are without support. I measueed them to 62 cm in height though.
