Life raft Bought Seago life raft on June 2019. Asked availability from few German shops and also from UK. Not any reasonable answer received from UK. All my questions were answered within minutes by SVB, and product delivered exactly on promised timetable.

Product details

The SEATEC life raft has been developed for the European market, is certified according to ISO 9650-2 and is also approved by RINA.

Area of use: Coastal and offshore, large lakes and inshore
Warranty: 18-year warranty (with regular maintenance)
Maintenance interval: every 3 years

Extra robust material made of butyl rubber, thermally insulated inner floor and bright yellow weather-protection canopy made of 100 % waterproof Rip-Stop nylon fabric. Automatic SOLAS flashing external light and interior light. SOLAS-compliant retro reflective tapes on the canopy and underside. 4 quick-filling, lead-weighted ballast pockets, each with 55-litre holding capacity ensure maximum stability - even in rough seas - and prevent the raft from turning over. Vacuum packed, optionally in fibreglass container or durable valise bag.

This is a liferaft with equipment for up to 24 hours and contains the following items:

1x pair of rows, bailer, sponge
1x sea anchor
1x hand pump
1 x rescue quoit with 30m of line
1x knife and signal whistle
2 x parachute rockets, 3 x red hand flares
1 x signal mirror
1 x waterproof torch and batteries
1 x wet notes
1 x signal card
1x SOLAS inner/outer light
6 x seasickness tablets
1x repair kit

We provide the individual components for you to create your own individual grabbag, so that you can easily customise your liferaft equipment to meet requirements for more than 24 hours.

A life-raft pays for itself on the 1st use !

My rating is given based on pics and specs as of today it was not used.
It is a life-raft in a bag and all looks well packed and sturdy.
If I ever launch it and live to come back to finish this review - I promise I will !

As to SVB I always give 5-Stars for fantastic clean, fast and very affordable S&H.
