Great product, cleanly made except for the grad at the end, you should first use sandpaper over it otherwise you will tear small threads out of the rope.

the thicker the more difficult.
the aluminum rods must be polished smooth before use. the hollow ends bend under greater stress, tear and eventually break off.
a rod made of stainless steel would be better in my opinion.
