GX6500 VHF Marine Radio System

The new high-end GX6500 VHF marine radio from Standard Horizon combines DSC, AIS, GPS and ATIS technology into one device. In addition to its conventional, intuitive and user-friendly menu control, this radio system also features high-quality and versatile equipment.

The GX6500 is equipped with an integrated dual-channel AIS receiver. Thanks to its NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 interfaces, the radio system can easily be integrated into existing on-board networks.

The desired channel is selected via the large rotary knob. The front soft-touch keys are programmable and can be adapted to individual user requirements. The high-resolution, backlit LCD display makes it easy to read all of the displayed data in any lighting condition. The integrated noise canceler ensures high voice quality when receiving and transmitting radio messages. By using the voice recorder, received radio messages can be recorded for up to a length of two minutes.

A complete second control unit can be connected to the radio. A 6 m extension cable is optionally available for use with the control panel. The RAM4W wireless controller has a range of up to 18 m and ensures maximum freedom of movement on board. In combination with the access point, up to four wireless controls can be connected to the radio.
