ICOM IC-M510BB Black Box Marine Radio / with AIS receiver and voice recording

The ICOM IC-M510BB consists of a CommandMic™ and a Blackbox unit. The CommandMic™ HM-195 can be used to perform all operating functions, including DSC. The black box can be installed behind a bulkhead, for example, and can be located up to 18.3 m away from the CommandMic™ (two optional OPC-1541 cables are required for installation at a distance of 18.3 m).

Install up to three CommandMic™ HM-195 control units on board and use this as a fully-fledged radio and as an intercom device for easy and fast communication on board.

NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 support
The NMEA 2000™ network allows easy plug-and-play data communication, and connects to other navigation devices, such as a Multi-Function Display (MFD). The radio can send GNSS (GPS) position, AIS, DSC call, and radio channel to other equipment. Furthermore, an NMEA0183 interface with 38,400 is available to enable the connection with older navigation systems.

Integrated AIS function
Thanks to the integrated AIS receiver, you can detect vessels approaching your boat and receive a collision avoidance warning. The AIS screens give you the option to make an individual DSC call to a specific vessel.

Voice recording
Two-minute voice recording function for playback of the last call. The voice recording function allows you to automatically save up to two minutes of an incoming call, meaning all important messages are received

Active Noise Cancelling
The Active Noise Cancelling digitally removes background noise from both transmit and receive audio and provides clear commu- nication in a noisy maritime environment.

Built-in Class D DSC with Life-Saving “DISTRESS” Button
The integrated DSC (Digital Selective Calling) Class D function can be a lifesaver in an emergency situation. With just a press of the “DISTRESS” button, the built-in DSC (Digital Selective Calling) system can digitally transmit distress infor- mation to the Coast Guard and/or other vessels. The DSC watch function continuously monitors the DSC channel (Ch. 70) for added safety and security.

Loud 1-Way RX Hailer
A built-in 13 W amplifier increases the audio output to an external hailer speaker. The 1-way RX hailer function enables you to keep watch of the radio traffic on the deck or tower through the hailer speaker. You can also sound foghorn patterns from the hailer speaker.
