This pump should be appropriate to drain a shower bath, sitting half a meter ( 20 inches ) above the bath floor ? Does it prime easly?
Dear Antonio, this pump is not suitable for draining shower water, because of its fine valves and cambers, it cannot handle soaps, hairs and skin scales, a pre filter will not realy help, it is to fast to full. For shower draining you can have the 50880-1000 (SVB 30043) it is a special constuction of Jabsco made for exactly this. Easy maintainance and cleaning, big pump chamber, handles solids and soap slime and has high run dry capability. This is a much better choice. BR

Dear Customer, this is a toilet flush pump that doesn't have a pressure switch because it's not needed here.
