Note:
The actual delivery rate of a bilge pump may deviate from the manufacturer's specifications, as it depends largely on the installation and power supply conditions. If the battery is fully charged, it will provide the necessary voltage to operate the pump at full power, but if the battery is only partially charged, the flow rate can be significantly reduced. The cable cross-section also plays an important role - if the supply lines are too long or too thin, voltage losses will occur, which will impair the performance of the pump. The hose diameter used also has an impact on efficiency: The larger the diameter, the lower the flow resistance and the better the actual delivery rate of the pump.

I require an automatic 12 volt bilge pump as a back up for an area that has drainage but occasionally the gullies become blocked and if so I need a back up to kick in when I’m not present and the area becomes flooded. Can you recommend a pump with a good water output that suits my needs. I could possibly install two pumps to be sure. Pat

What is the maximum ambient operating temperature of these high capacity impeller pumps? The manual does not state. What I mean to ask is - can I place it into my engine room, about 20-30 cm away from a Volvo Penta MD22?
