Versatile Use on Board
This anchor chain shackle is ideal for a variety of onboard applications, including:
- relieving the load on the anchor windlass
- attaching an anchor buoy
- securely connecting or extending the anchor gear
- attaching a second anchor in strong winds or storm conditions
Especially in demanding anchoring situations, the chain shackle provides additional safety. If a storm approaches, a second anchor can be attached directly to the existing anchor chain, significantly increasing the holding power of the main anchor.
