LEWMAR SYNCHRO blocks:
The incredibly optimized block geometry, the revolutionary free spin bearing and the self-aligning head of the block ensure 40% friction reduction compared to conventional system. Each component of the block is synchronized with the line movement for an optimised transfer of load from the sails to the deck, all with extremely low line wear. Shackle post locks by pressing a button.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
