Hi, I had ordered the 276H 3/8PC one and received instead the 276E ISO 10MM is this a mistake ? or both have the same geometry and therefore can be switched?

Dear David S. , please do send all windlass details . If you change the gypsy form 10 to 8mm you have the change the outer cone as well . Please do send the inquiry towards [email protected]

Dear Madam/Sir, I have Lofrans AIRON with 10 mm gypsy standard version with rope drum on top of gypsy) and would like to switch to 8 mm gypsy (your part number 14035). Please let me know do I also have to change lower cone too. kind regards Berislav Ortynski

Dear Berislav, the main shaft should be replaced, as well. However, as the Airon is a long retired model, the main shaft for standard version (meaning with drum), which is compatible with 8mm gypsy, is not available anymore.

That is strange... Main shaft does not touch gypsy at any location... Gypsy lay on inner cone and shaft is touching inner cone and not gypsy at all.

Please mind that the main shaft is a crucial component for the windlass assembly and based on the gypsy being used, a shaft with different design is required. Gypsies have many differences in their designs; the pockets’ size is only one of them.

Hello, I have two boats that are equipped with Lofrans Tigres windlasses. They both have the same chain 10mm, P30. I have on one of them a Gypsea that although they have the correct marking Φ10, P30, the one that doesn't work has the markings written in a different font. As I would like to buy the correct one, so I won't run into this problem again, is it possible to send me a picture of how are the markings for the 10mm chain Φ10, P30 stamped on the Gypsea - with what font is written I mean.
