Dear Øyvind. The 3-way ball valve 5161D is made of plain brass, which means an alloy that does not contain inhibitors of dezincification; therefore in contact with sea water it will be subject to the selective removal of zinc from the alloy. For this reason, valves in non dezincification-resistant brass are not allowed for use as seacocks, according to the European standard EN ISO 9093:2021.
