Mente Marine trim tab control I have the device at SVB related (fast, problem-free delivery) and installed on my Grandezza 27 OC. The Bennet trimmer switches were replaced by the ACS RP, which worked without any problems. Only one of the wing screws disappeared into the depths of the dashboard, so only one had been applied after these screws were hard to get. Maybe I can help SVB :-) After the automatic adjustment on the bridge, the device was calibrated during glide. I am still amazed after weeks of driving practice, how well the device works. Product details

The deep V-hulls of new sportboats have been designed for a smooth ride in rough conditions. The higher the deadrise, the more necessary it is to set the trim tabs for going straight. Rolling and heeling depends on the wind and location of passengers. Pitch is dependent on speed and load.

When changing course, if the wind direction changes, the boat has to be trimmed again, as is also the case should passengers move. Having to constantly adjust the trim to changing loads can distract the boat driver and is a high safety risk, especially at high speed.

An automatic trim system (ACS) means that this task is one less thing to think about. Changes in trim position due to wind, new course or changed seating positions of passengers are automatically compensated for by the system.

The ACS RP (Roll & Pitch) automatically adjusts the boat to an optimal trim position in relation to the roll axis by avoiding heeling. The transverse axis steering improves visibility and makes driving in a half glide possible. Acceleration is also improved.

Function: The operating panel allows you to turn a manual trim system into a fully automatic trim system.

Installation: Replace the existing control unit only with the ACS control unit from MENTE MARINE - connection of 6 cables The installed sensors measure the movement of the boat.

Incorrect regulation

I installed the control in my Windy 28 with an 8.2 liter V8 engine. It controls Bennett's hydraulic flaps. I only ride in fresh water, but on a large lake that sometimes has strong winds and correspondingly high waves. Unfortunately, the system seems completely overwhelmed when accelerating. The boat leans sharply and begins to go in circles. Even during normal planing, it suddenly corrects so violently that the boat can hardly be maneuvered. The good news at the end; the control can also be operated manually.
