Product details

This funnel is specially designed to clean fuel and keep engines running longer. The fuel filter is a heavy-duty, fast-flow portable funnel with built-in filter. Mr. Funnel effectively filters out water, dirt and debris from most fuels including petrol, diesel, heating oil and kerosene. Simply pour fuel into the funnel and the flour polymer-coated stainless steel filter ensures only clean fuel passes through. The good fuel that comes out is better for your engine, improving efficiency, lifespan and preventing system failure. A drip tray collects the drained water and contaminants and you can dispose of them properly.

A problem
Product purchased - 2 years ago when I was traveling in the Azores. I had, to test the filter, put a little water in the funnel. The water did not flow from it normally. Now back in France, I try to use the magic funnel, this time with diesel fuel, ... which does not flow either! ;-) I tell myself that I really got screwed and that saddens me. Unless I am making the wrong move?

Impractical
Requires a lot of time while refueling. With sloping tank openings a hose connection would be helpful to keep the filter in the horizontal. Would not we buy again.

To be avoided absolutely!
This product is one of the most stupid I have ever met. What is expected is that it stops the impurities and lets the gas go through. In fact, it lets almost all the gas go, but it keeps about a quarter of a liter. Indeed, the filter is mounted on a shoulder that raises it by a few millimeters. The bottom of the funnel can not be emptied. If you use it in the workshop, just empty what is left by flipping the funnel into another container (with all the junk it has filtered). But on the deck of a boat, that's another story. Diesel result everywhere. It is not practical to wipe an empty funnel after use to store it neatly. But with a quarter of a liter in it is impossible mission. If at least there was a spout!
