The new Lowrance Autopilot Kit is compatible with the High Definition Series (HDS) displays. It provides automatic steering for hydraulic-steer outboard motors. The kit includes the new version of the NAVICO PUMP-1 hydraulic pump.
The Outboard Pilot, featuring SmartSteer™ control from your HDS Gen2 or Gen3, will conveniently steer to a heading, waypoint or route. This pack contains everything you need to fit an autopilot to your hydraulic-steer outboard motor, the autopilot lets you focus on fishing activity while keeping the boat on course! With the HDS display, you can easily convert trails to routes – so you can retrace a previous track and get your boat back to the dock from your fishing area. The Lowrance outboard autopilot is suitable for boats up to 30 feet (approx. 9 m) in length.
NOTE:
The NAC-1 Autopilot Computer is not compatible with B&G multifunction displays.
Features of the NAVICO Precision-9 compass
The Precision-9 Compass delivers accurate heading and rotation speed information to Simrad autopilots, radars and navigation systems via NMEA 2000®. The solid-state sensors continuously measure movement and course parameters via nine axes. In addition, the Precision-9 compass also provides information about heeling, rolling and pitching motions on compatible devices. An easily adjustable mounting bracket and connection via a single data cable allow installation on board almost every boat, including installation on the masts of boats with steel hulls.
Key Features
- Measures heading, rate of turn, heeling, roll and pitch via NMEA 2000®
- Accurate and reliable semiconductor sensor electronics
- Heading accuracy of ±2° after calibration
- Easily adjustable mounting bracket allows bulkhead or up-mast installation
- IPX7 waterproof to suit up-mast mounting on steel-hulled vessels
- Easy installation using one single NMEA 2000®-connection
- A compact sensor measures heading, rate of turn, heeling, roll and pitch
- Reliable solid-state sensor technology with no moving parts
- Easy and cost-effective installation
- Suitable for all hull types, including steel hull vessels, as can be installed on the mast.
NMEA 2000® heading and rate of turn information
The Simrad Precision-9 compass delivers heading, rate of turn, heel, roll and pitch information to connected devices such as autopilots, radars, sonars, multi-function displays and other navigation systems via NMEA 2000® output.
Solid-state sensor technology
The Precision 9 compass features a powerful solid-state sensor array based on MEMS technology. This highly precise sensor measures motion on on nine separate axes in order to calculate the most accurate information possible:heading, heel, trim, roll, pitch, yaw, surge and sway. The Precision-9 uses these nine parameters to determine highly accurate heading and rate of turn information and avoids many common limits of conventional electronic fluxgate compasses, with a heading accuracy of +/- 2 degrees after calibration.
Mount almost anywhere
An easily adjustable mounting bracket allows the Precision-9 to be installed on any vessel, in almost any location The Precision-9 may also be mounted directly to any flat surface and, with an IPX7 waterproof rating, external up-mast installation is possible on steel hulled vessels to avoid magnetic interference. Installation is further facilitated by the NMEA 2000® connection, where power and data are transmitted via a single cable.
