Do not use for diesel!

This is an inferior product for fuel and should not be used for this use even though its described as being ok for fuels. I ran a quick test - I left a piece of the NBR in diesel for just under 4 days. In this short time it had swollen an extra 1mm from its original 3mm.
SVB won't give a refund for the gasket as I'd already cut the 1X1 metre sheet. A nice waste of money and time but a lot better than removing broken down rubber from the fuel system (would SVB pay for this?).

Not diesel-proof

I cut a seal out of it for the inspection hatch on my diesel tank. The seal disintegrated after a year and parts fell into the tank. I fill up with GTLHVO100.

unfortunately after having mounted the item as a gasket for an inspection cap of the oil tank, this was the result after about 15 months.

Is vulcanization possible with this material? I am thinking to wrap it around the mast and the mast partner to seal mast/deck.

No. Its not the right product for vulcanization. The rubber is temp.resistand and rather used for surface protection or sealing of flat surfaces. For ur needs there is a special sealing tape on the market which u even dont need to vulcanize
