Good with a small defect
As always, delivered quickly and well by SVB. Well built for mounting. function very well. The springs lift a 27kg motor about halfway up, you have to pull a little for the rest of the way. When lowered, it sags halfway by itself and then has to be pushed down a bit. So very comfortable. Minor defect The two white handwheels are held in place by two springs that are held in place by cap nuts. Because the cap nuts are partly covered by the white handwheels, you cannot see how far they are still stuck on the thread. The first time it was used, one of the cap nuts came loose and jumped off along with the spring. It was clear from the design that this would happen and I had already bought self-locking nuts, but had not attached them before using them for the first time. The tongue is gone. Too bad and actually unnecessary.

Extremely poor workmanship
Raising the motor works without any problems on a Mercury 5PS Sailpower. But the wood is hardly protected at all. After one season, the wooden transom was rotting and the handle was cracking. The paint is of furniture quality at best! I had to replace both. The stainless steel axles are rusting. The cap nuts are not secured - and fall off quickly (probably due to the engine vibrations). I replaced them with self-locking nuts. The plastic disks underneath were worn out after the first season. I only kept the bracket and renovated it because I had drilled holes in my wooden boat for it and didn't want to do it again for a different bracket.
