The WINCHER is a specially designed rubber moulding fitting over the top of a standard winch to handle the rope on the drum, similar to a self-tailing winch. When the line is sheeted under load, the coil climbs up and grips the underside of the WINCHER.

Hard to install but works as expected

They are two rather expensive pieces of rubber whose installation is quite "difficult", but they do their job. The quality of the rubber however seems suitable for the effort they will have to sustain. A serious review should only be done after using them for a year and understanding any limitations, defects, tears, and consumption. for this I don't give 5 stars. However, I hope not to find these cases.

Two expensive rubber pieces, quite "hard" installation, but they do their job. Honestly 10mm lines have a bit of a hard time getting into the throat. Those from 8 instead are fine. However, the quality of the rubber is suitable for the effort they will have to sustain. A serious review should only be done after using them for a year and understanding any tears, and consumption. for this I don't give 5 stars.

Good compromise but no replacement for the self-tailing winch

Little tried, no major cruise tested yet. Good compromise and the function is given. When winching, the drum becomes fuller after one or two turns, as the end remains fixed in the groove. Works very well with little tightening and you don't need a document clamp. Endurance test not yet carried out.
