The Harken Carbo double block is a powerful and versatile double block for demanding trim and control lines when sailing. Thanks to the robust carbo-composite construction combined with low-friction ball bearings, the block impresses with particularly smooth running and high reliability.
The double block features two sheaves arranged side by side - ideal for complex line guides and mechanical advantages for sheets, halyards or trim systems on dinghies, sports boats and yachts. Its excellent power-to-weight ratio makes it perfect for both recreational sailors and ambitious regatta sailors.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:
The double block features two sheaves arranged side by side - ideal for complex line guides and mechanical advantages for sheets, halyards or trim systems on dinghies, sports boats and yachts. Its excellent power-to-weight ratio makes it perfect for both recreational sailors and ambitious regatta sailors.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:
- Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
- For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
- Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
- Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
- Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
- Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
