The P79 in-hull transducer is the ideal solution for boat owners seeking reliable sonar performance without the need for complex hull penetrations.
Specifically designed for fiberglass-hulled boats, this high-quality shoot-through-hull transducer offers simple installation, excellent signal transmission, and minimal water turbulence—making it perfect for high-speed powerboats, sailing yachts, and leisure craft.
The transducer is mounted entirely inside the hull and transmits and receives sonar signals directly through the solid fiberglass structure. Since no components protrude from the hull, there is no additional drag in the water. At the same time, the hull remains completely watertight, with no drilling or cutting required.
A particularly practical feature of the P79 is its innovative mounting flange system. The flange is bonded to the inside of the hull using fast-curing marine epoxy and can be precisely adjusted to match the hull's deadrise angle using the integrated angle markings. Once filled with non-toxic propylene glycol, the active transducer element is inserted and accurately aligned to ensure maximum sonar performance and reliable depth readings.
The P79 is suitable for deadrise angles from 0° to 22° and can be installed in solid fiberglass hulls up to 16 mm (5/8") thick.
