RONSTAN Orbit Block / single sheave / horizontal / 10 mm / ball bearing

The innovative RONSTAN Orbit Blocks are particularly lightweight in relation to their working load. To attach Ronstan Orbit Blocks™, rope loops made of Dyneema ® SK 75 are used – a lightweight and very flexible method to attach blocks. The loop is held in place by a clip on the block. Even when opened, it remains firmly connected to the block on one side. A unique asymmetric bearing system reduces the tread on the active area of the sheave, minimising friction in the inactive area.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

• Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
• For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
• Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
• Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
• Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
• Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
