Simple, elegant, works! Installed it in the cockpit of my boat today – it only took a few minutes with a 2" hole saw. Since the GRP was less than 6mm thick at the installation location, I had to insert a 50mm O-ring between the locking nut and the GRP. About 3 meters of 2x1.5 mm² cable to the fuse box, a dedicated connector with a matching 3A fuse. I tried it out with an iPhone 15 and an iPhone 16 – both charge. The look is very clean – without the phone, it's a flat black square; with the phone, you can't see anything except the phone. I find the device very practical because you don't always have to think about where to put the phone. It also charges reliably – important when I want to work on the boat and use the phone as a hotspot all day. The price is a pain, but that will pass, while the joy of using it lasts with every use...
