High-precision performance instrument for ambitious sailors
Atlas 2 was specially developed for sailing and combines modern GPS technology with intelligent sensor technology. It delivers precise and reliable data in real time - both in training and in regattas - and helps you to better understand your boat and become faster in a targeted manner.
GNSS positioning & data rate
Inside, a modern dual-band GNSS system (L1 + L5) works, which utilises several satellite networks simultaneously (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou). This ensures significantly more accurate position and speed data than with conventional devices - even under difficult conditions.
With up to 25 updates per second, the Atlas 2 reacts extremely quickly. This provides immediate and precise feedback on current performance, especially during take-offs, turns or rapid acceleration.
Sensors & motion analysis
In addition to the GNSS system, the device has integrated motion sensors (gyroscope, acceleration sensor and compass). These continuously record the movements of the boat.
The result:
- Stable and reliable course display
- Precise detection of changes in direction
- Live data on heel (lateral inclination) and pitch (movement forwards and backwards)
This allows the effects of trim changes and manoeuvres to be immediately recognised and better evaluated.
Regatta functions
The Atlas 2 really comes into its own in racing. It offers clearly understandable, practical functions:
- Distance-to-Line - precise distance to the starting line in real time
- Time-to-Line - calculated time to reach the start line
- Time-to-Burn - display of the optimum "too early/too late" time for perfect start timing control
- Countdown timer - synchronised start sequences for regattas
- Shift Tracking - detection and visualisation of wind shifts for tactical optimisation
- Stripchart View - graphical progression view for analysing course and performance data over time
- VMG (Velocity Made Good) - effective speed in the direction of the next target for optimised course selection
These functions help to time starts more precisely and improve tactical decisions.
Display & user interface
The display is designed so that all important data can be recognised at a glance - even in direct sunlight. The user interface is clearly structured and can be customised so that the focus is always on the relevant information.
Power supply & operation
With over 100 hours of battery life, the Atlas 2 is also suitable for longer training phases or regatta series. Charging is wireless, which avoids vulnerable connections.
Construction & integration
- Robust, waterproof housing for use on the water
- Compact and lightweight - ideal for use on board
- Wireless use without complex installation
- Quickly ready for use: mount, switch on, start
