Product details
This aluminium foil blanket reflects up to 85% of total body heat. It prevents overcooling and hypothermia. Can also be used as heat protection. Dimensions: 210 x 160 cm.
The foil of the survival blanket has a silver and a gold side:
If there is a risk of overcooling or hypothermia , the gold side should face outwards. The heat radiation emitted by the body of the injured person is trapped by the reflection on the silver side.
If, on the other hand, there is a risk of the body overheating (strong sunlight, imminent heat stroke ), the survival blanket can be used as sun protection. In this case, the silver side should face outwards.
