Product details

Plain bearing cheek block on a sturdy stainless steel plate. Well suited for riveting or screwing on the boom or mast. Block with stainless steel side plates. Bore holes: 5 mm.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.

Solid and well made.

In itself a good product - solid and properly processed. However, "feet" protrude from the base plate at a relatively large angle. So you can certainly mount it on a dinghy tree or mast. On the yacht mast or boom, on the other hand, things get difficult. The radius doesn't match. I clamped it to the workbench and set the two plates with the mounting holes at a slightly flatter angle.
