Good value for money Easy to install, intuitive and efficient. We would have appreciated a classic jack connector for the audio output, or the small passive gps antenna supplied with it, but for the price we can not have everything ;-)

Notes on programming:

This device has to be programmed with your personal data, such as: MMSI and/or ATIS numbers.

It is possible to program the MMSI and ATIS number yourself. The relevant instructions can be found in the manual.

Alternatively, we can programme the device for you. For this we charge a programming fee.

If you would like us to programme the device, please let us know as you are making your order. Please add the above-mentioned programming accordingly and complete the form in full.

If additional channels (e.g. the Dutch channels) are to be activated, we charge our programming fee. The fee is only charged once per device.

The application for the allocation of the MMSI and ATIS number can be found in our Service/Downloads section.

Compact VHF marine radio system with Class D DSC controller. Thanks to the large 31 x 55 mm display and icon guided menu items, the IPX 8 waterproof radio is easy to operate. The GX1400E is designed to meet the requirements for GMDSS participation, such as DSC Distress Call, Individual, Group and All Ships calls, as well as the practical Scan Settings, which can be used to monitor either pre-programmed or priority channels (Dual Watch, Programmable Watch, Priority Scan).

GX1400G receives the position data required for DSC functions via an NMEA 0183 interface or via the integrated GPS receiver. User-defined softkeys can be assigned as required to make menu navigation even easier.

The system can also be switched to the inland navigation radio system ATIS. With the "preset key" function, the last 10 channels used can be recalled. If desired or necessary, the GPS position data of up to 4 yachts/boats that use DSC and are within radio range can be called up via so-called "polling".
