STAZO Nutlock Outboard Motor Lock

Very fast delivery, as always from SVB !! The assembly of the lock was easy and quick. It took me the longest time to find a suitable socket wrench, which unfortunately is not included in the delivery. The key has to be very thin-walled, so one point is deducted.

Price is great and the security is guaranteed. Since the lock is placed on one of the bolts bolted through it is a real backup for the outboard. On my other boat (glider) the engine is attached with toggle bolts. Again, the insurance insisted on an approved lock. Was bought and grown by me. At least the requirement of boat insurance is met if the engine is stolen. But that makes little sense, because the engine hangs on a lifting device, which can be dismantled even faster than the engine (then with engine). On my note to the insurance company said it does not matter, the engine is now insured. So the main thing is a lot of money for an approved lock (which incidentally is also top in the execution). Whether it makes sense is seemingly unimportant.

I have the lock on my outboard. In the last week 7 outboards were stolen in our club. Since I have this castle, they have moved away from me, even though they were already on the boat. My insurance company found it good and accepted for my comprehensive insurance.

I have this lock on my outboard and my engine was not touched during the last theft operation at our club. In contrast to a previous speaker accepts my comprehensive insurance, by agreement, this lock as a suitable anti-theft device.
