Product details

The SEATEC TARGET binoculars were specifically designed for maritime use on board. They are characterized by their water-repellent, durable rubber coating and nitrogen-filled chamber. Their nitrogen filled chamber maintains the binoculars' internal pressure, thus preventing the ingress of water or condensation. The unit's fully coated optics provides a sharp, high-contrast image, even in poor weather conditions. Individual focusing allows the adjustment of individual diopter settings. The binocular's wide field of view serves as a very useful navigational aid. Weight: 865 g.

pros and cons
I have had these binoculars for 3 or 4 years now and have been extremely satisfied so far, the quality of vision is astonishingly good, considering the price. I use it as "always on top" so that my expensive Steiner doesn't always run the risk of going overboard. Yesterday I wanted to use the binoculars again, so I took them out of the cockpit table and grabbed them by one of his eyepieces, and Zack had the top of the eyepiece up to the top lens in my hand. The thing just broke off at the inner grid. The glass never fell off or was treated roughly in any other way, but the innards at this point are built very filigree, and it is not surprising that something like this has to happen with this type of construction. A marine binocular, which also deserves this name, should have a certain robustness in addition to good imaging. I put the splinters together with super glue with detailed surgical work, now it works halfway again. But I wouldn't buy it now. Now amends my original judgment from back then.
