The thread is best sealed with Loctite SI 5331. I have not succeeded with Teflon tape.

Strange construction
It is incomprehensible why the pipe bend between the threaded parts is so thin. This causes the open inner diameter to narrow unnecessarily and the strength of the component further suffers. Given the price, it can't be due to the material costs.
