VC17 speed
I've used this product on all my boats, since 1980. Sailing on the Swedish west coast. Easy to use, no grinding, perfect result. First time follow the instructions and use VC-tar and only use VC thinner.

Copper color is on an fresh air, after coating. When boat is immersed, color getting graphite.

Copper colour stays before immersion. On water copper oxidizes and turn gray. That’s normal. It is a very good antifouling. I’ve been using it the last three years, works nicely on my J109.

Hello, can VC17m be applied on other epoxies than VC Tar, say Hempel's Hempadur? Thanks

Yes, I,m pretty shure that it works, I have used VC-17M on my last 4 sailingboats during a period of 35 years, also on other epoxies than VC-Tar. However, read the instructions on the epoxi carefully, sometimes there is a timelimit on how late you can apply the VC-17M without the need of grinding/sanding the surface.

I would absolutely not try Hempadur as an underwater primer as base for VC-17M. But you can without doubt use Hempels Light Primer. If your plan is to use VC-17M as antifouling why not use the recommended primer?
