- Drying time at 15 °C: 20 minutes
- Overcoating time at 15 °C: 20 minutes
For coated surfaces
- Old VC 17m: Wash with fresh water. The surface must be clean and free of dust.

GRP/Blank gelcoat: Ensure that the substrate is dry, clean and free of grease. Use
VC General Thinner for degreasing. Lightly roughen the surface to be coated with 240 grit sandpaper. Rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Then prime the surface with
VC TAR2 and apply two coats of VC 17m. If possible, apply another coat of VC 17m every six months.
Steel/lead: Ensure that the substrate is dry, clean and free of grease. Use
VC General Thinner for degreasing. Prime the surface to be coated with
VC TAR2 to protect the hull from corrosion. Then apply two coats of VC 17m. If possible, apply another coat of VC 17m every six months.
