Coolant temperature gauge It reliably does what it's supposed to – displays the coolant temperature. The backlighting could be more evenly distributed across the display and a bit brighter.

Display with a sober line and a little too plastic and matt appearance if it is mounted without a cover. Wiring is easy as long as you use the correct diagram! It is therefore necessary to compare the diagram options proposed by VDO for the display with the wiring diagram of the temperature sensor itself. The logarithmic scale of the display is a little frustrating for an engine with a rated operating temperature below 60 the needle moves little! but, of course, the important thing is that it clearly signals a temperature rise above 80. The red overheating light is hardly visible during the day; an audible alarm is more effective.
