An average hat; the windproof protection only covers the ears and forehead. It's quite drafty on top in wind and cold. Plus, it fits rather loosely. I'd recommend a Jack Wolfskin hat with Stormlock instead. It's proven to be much better.

This certainly high-quality product has a very annoying crackling inner layer, which, of all things, so close to the ear, causes a constant noise every time you move your head - what a pity!
