Works when used correctly Solves all 1K products like antifouling and primer. I have not tried 2K, supposedly will not be attacked. The gelcoat showed no solubility. Depending on the layers and or layer thickness, the exposure time is crucial. And importantly, after application, cover with a cling film so that the product acts inward and does not evaporate to the outside. Increases the effect and shortens the exposure time. For this I can only recommend the scraper here from the house, as this is much more efficient compared to a spatula. With a spatula, it was more of a smearing and fighting. With the scraper went down 3 Schcihten at once. Then clean everything with thinner, because just remain paint residue from the dissolved products.

I decided to remove the antifouling (Trilux 33) so that the mostly intact epoxy primer is not damaged. This has also succeeded, but the work was very tedious and a huge mess! The antifouling had to be removed residue-free, as a complete priming coat should be done. For this purpose, the stripper had to be applied 6 to 8 times in layers and the cleaned layers were scraped off. The stripper penetrates only a few color layers. Thick application and longer exposure time do not help. This only increases the consumption of the stripper. I have also tried Interstrip AF. The only difference is the much higher price. In the end, I then used the pulling blade for the coarse and used the stripper for the fine work. In the last step I dusted everything with nitro dilution. All in all real slavery. Really not recommendable !!

A lot of effort and dirt for little success
Anyone who thinks they can remove the antifouling from an entire underwater hull with this product should use a powerful grinding device. We only tried to lower the water pass on a 12m Kat by approx. 5cm & to remove the antifouling (2 old coats of selfpolishing Hempel). It required 3 jobs, each with an exposure time of 1 hour .... An arduous, dirty day's work that could be done in half the time with the eccentric sander. Absolutely not to be recommended, maybe as a nail polish remover but not for the ship. Wasn't worth the try.
