Description
Within the VOLVO PENTA 40 series, the AD40, with 124 PS, is one of the more powerful models. The diesel engine features an inboard shaft and shares key components, such as gasket sets and glow plugs, with the related MD40 and TMD40 models from the same series. This close component similarity is also evident in the cooling water line, for which a single seal kit is used for the AD40, TMD40 and MD40. With its power output, the VOLVO PENTA AD40 is suitable as the main propulsion unit for medium-sized to larger sailing and motor boats.
