Description
The YAMAHA F115 is a four-stroke outboard motor with a four-cylinder in-line engine featuring DOHC and 16 valves. The 1.8-litre engine, with a displacement of 1,832 cubic centimetres, delivers 115 PS at 5,800 revolutions per minute; the full-throttle rev range is between 5,300 and 6,300 revolutions per minute. Depending on the shaft length, the engine weighs between 171 and 180 kilograms. The electronic fuel injection (EFI) system and the independently controlled intake and exhaust valves ensure low fuel consumption whilst maintaining smooth running. The F115 is popular due to its good power-to-weight ratio, the TCI ignition system for reliable starting, and its compatibility with Yamaha’s digital network system, including the Y-COP anti-theft system. Compared to the more powerful F130 from the same series, the F115 shares the same engine block but delivers less power whilst weighing roughly the same. With its robust design and good power-to-weight ratio, the YAMAHA F115 is equally suitable for leisure and fishing boats.
