Description
Within the 40 series, the VOLVO PENTA AD41, with 200 PS, is one of the more powerful diesel engines. It is driven via an inboard shaft. Spare parts such as turbochargers, exhaust manifolds and heat exchanger gasket kits are supplied by VOLVO PENTA jointly for the AD41 and the closely related models T(A)MD41, TAMD42 and KAD42/43, which suggests a common design basis within the series. The smaller AD31 from the same model family also shares numerous components, such as the exhaust hose and turbocharger gaskets, with the AD41. With its power output, the VOLVO PENTA AD41 is suitable as the main propulsion unit for larger motor and sailing yachts.
