Description
The Dufour 12000 from Dufour Yachts s.a. is an ocean-going heavy displacement boat with excellent course stability, which was built between 1974 and 1990 and is designed for balanced sea characteristics with a length of 13.8 metres, a beam of 3.98 metres and a draught of 1.90 metres. The displacement of around 12,000 kg ensures smooth movement behaviour in waves and supports controllable sailing even on longer offshore passages, while reaching around 8 kn under engine. The solid GRP construction of this construction period stands for structural resilience, and the interior layout designed for cruising with 3 cabins and 2 heads compartments enables longer stays on board with a clear division of functions. The deep, sheltered aft cockpit corresponds to a classic deck concept with a safe working position for the crew. A direct comparison shows that the Dufour 12000 offers a more traditional cockpit layout than the centre cockpit version 12000 CT with more separate deck areas.
