Description
The Elan 410 is a 12.27 metre sailing yacht from Rob Humphreys' Performance line with a slim, performance-oriented hull design without a pronounced chines. Propulsion is by sail and is supported by an inboard with saildrive as an auxiliary engine for harbour manoeuvres. The yacht has a single, very deep spade rudder and a performance-orientated T-keel with lead bomb. The cockpit is generously proportioned and was usually fitted with a large steering wheel. Later versions were fitted with two wheels, but still only one rudder blade. Below deck, the Elan 410 was built almost exclusively as a three-cabin version with a forward berth and two aft cabins, supplemented by a saloon, galley, navigation table and wet room. Compared to the later Elan 400, the Elan 410 has a more classic hull design and is more focussed on pure performance. The Elan 410 is therefore aimed at sporty cruising sailors with regatta ambitions.
