The Sun Odyssey 45.1 is a very pleasant sailboat to sail. The Sun Odyssey 45.1 is a very pleasant sailboat to sail, comfortable and well-designed for offshore cruising. The cockpit is spacious, the cabins offer real comfort on board, and the boat remains safe even in rough seas. I particularly appreciate its balance between performance and comfort; it sails well while remaining accessible to a family crew. The interior is bright and functional, and the storage capacity is quite adequate for long passages. However, a few points could be improved, notably some equipment that is showing its age on older models and engine access that is sometimes inconvenient. In conclusion, an excellent cruising sailboat, reliable and versatile, which I recommend without hesitation.
