Description
The Excess 12 is an 11.8 metre long catamaran with an open cockpit and two aft helm stations positioned on the outside of the hulls. The design comes from VPLP and is designed for low weight and direct feedback. A typical feature is the open connection between the cockpit and saloon on the bridge deck, where the galley is also located. Cabins and bathrooms are located in the hulls. Large windows in the superstructure bring plenty of light into the saloon. Favourite features are the sporty sail plan, wide side decks, a clearly structured deck layout and several layout options for owners or charter. Compared to the Excess 11, the Excess 12 offers more width, more interior volume and additional storage space, but remains designed for active steering and direct control. The Excess 12 is aimed at crews who need more space without sacrificing the concept of the series.
